Virginia basketball alum Joe Harris is shooting 44.9% from deep right now–good for ninth in the NBA in 3-point field percentage.

How does UVA account for absence of Kihei Clark? Braxton Key will be key (Augusta Free Press)

Freshman guard Kihei Clark will be out for a few weeks following surgery on his broken left wrist, which means Tony Bennett will be using Alabama transfer Braxton Key a bit more. Sophomore Marco Anthony and freshman Kody Stattman will also likely get some more minutes to give Kyle Guy and Ty Jerome some relief.

UVa football: Focus at Belk Bowl will be on winning for Cavs, Gamecocks (The Roanoke Times)

Both South Carolina coach Will Muschamp and Virginia’s Bronco Mendenhall are focused on winning when it comes to the Belk Bowl. Neither seemed too concerned with all the other fun bells and whistles that come with a bowl game during their media day press conference in Charlotte on Thursday.
