Yesterday was fun. The Virginia Cavalier football team got their first postseason win since the Music City Bowl in 2005 thanks to an emphatic 28-0 drubbing of the SEC’s South Carolina Gamecocks.
The Hoos dominated on both sides of the ball as Bryce Perkins (22-for-31, 208 yards, three TDs), Jordan Ellis (106 yards, one TD), Juan Thornhill (six tackles, one INT), and Tim Harris (one INT) were some of the stars that shone brightly. Belk Bowl MVP Olamide Zaccheaus was outstanding with 12 catches for 100 yards and three touchdowns. Coach Vic So’oto managed a defensive line that had just four players available and still held the Gamecocks scoreless.
All in all, it was a fantastic outing. Time to re-live it through some highlights!
