Virginia Lacrosse kicks off their 2018 campaign on Saturday with No. 10 Loyola coming to town for a 1pm showdown. Grounds will already be buzzing with GameDay returning to John Paul Jones Arena at 11am, and Virginia announced that “all fans will have the opportunity to receive complimentary tickets to the men’s lacrosse home opener vs. Loyola at 1 p.m. on Saturday”.
Free tickets!
This gives fans plenty of time to check out GameDay, head over to Klockner for a top-15 matchup, and then rest up before Virginia and VaTech tip off at 6:15.
The Hoos also gave fans a sneak peak of their brand new matte, two-tone helmets that the team will be sporting for the game Saturday.

I miss the V-sabres, but the cursive Hoos is pretty sweet on the matte. The numbers on one side is reminiscent of the football team, though they are on the other side for Coach Mendenhall’s squad.
The Hoos have been practicing hard getting ready for the season to kick off, hitting ground balls and shooting drills this week:
