The ACC released the preseason coaches’ poll on Tuesday with the Cavaliers picked to come in 2nd Coastal, behind the Tar Heels.

Receiving 12 of the 14 first place votes for the Coastal Division, the Heels also nabbed 96 votes to Virginia’s 83.

In the Atlantic, FSU picked up 13 of the 14 votes to be named the Atlantic favorite. Louisville, Clemson, and NC State were predicted to finish 2nd through 4th, with Wake Forest predicted to finish in 5th. Oddly enough, while Wake was predicted to finish in 5th in the Atlantic, they not only received a 1st place vote for the Atlantic, they received a vote for overall champion of the ACC. (Pssst Wake coach/SID, don’t make it so obvious you’re voting for yourselves next year)

Overall, Florida State lead the way with 10 votes as the preseason favorite to be the overall champion of the Conference in 2018 with UNC receiving the second most overall votes with 3.
