The No. 1 Virginia Cavaliers are now have the ACC tournament title to go alongside their finish atop the conference standings after taking down No. 12 North Carolina, 71-63, in the championship game.
After the confetti fell and the Hoos donned their fancy new caps, they one-by-one climbed the ladder of victory to cut the nets down in the Barclays Center. Last, but certainly not least, was head coach Tony Bennett, who walked his way to the baseline as the raucous Virginia faithful chanted “TO-NY, TO-NY”.
He climbed the ladder, grinning ear-to-ear, and freed the net from the rim, holding it high above his head as he expressed thanks to his team and the fans.

The Hoos will be the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA tournament, which will be announced later today on Selection Sunday.
