Just announced, the Virginia Cavaliers are headed to Charlotte as the nation’s top No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament! The Hoos will take on the UMBC Retrievers on Friday in the opening round of the tournament, and they could face Creighton or Kansas State on Sunday for a chance to make it to the Sweet Sixteen in Atlanta.

Virginia’s reaction was more subdued than many of the reactions we saw on the live Selection Sunday reveal on TBS, but that shouldn’t come as a surprise either. After all, the unanimous No. 1 team in the country just won the toughest conference tournament in the country.
