The Associated Press announced their All-American team and Virginia Cavaliers guard Kyle Guy was named to the third team. Guy is only the sixth Hoo to be named to AP’s list, joining Malcolm Brogdon, Ralph Sampson, Jeff Lamp, Barry Parkhill, and Buzzy Wilkinson. The shooting guard is the first UVA sophomore to earn the honor since Ralph Sampson in 1981. Guy shot 42% from the floor and 39% from beyond the arc and led the #1 ranked Cavaliers in scoring at 14.1 points per game. He was named the ACC tournament MVP after he averaged 16.7 points and shot 53% from three over the three games.
