The #1 Virginia Cavaliers have reached some pretty heady heights this season: a unanimous #1 AP ranking, another ACC regular season crown, and most likely the #1 overall seed in the upcoming NCAA Tournament. One sign that UVA basketball has made it this season is that they are gracing the cover of Sports Illustrated this week.

There are four regional covers for SI’s March Madness preview, and Isaiah Wilkins and the Hoos are one of them. The edition of the magazine also includes an article about Virginia, highlighting the Pack-Line defense and UVA’s style of play.
This marks the Hoos’ seventh SI cover appearance, but only the second in the past five years. In 2015, UVA appeared with Kentucky, and were featured five times in the Ralph Sampson era.
