TV and Game Times Announced for Three of Virginia’s 2018 Football Games

NCAA Football: Virginia Tech at Virginia Amber Searls-USA TODAY Sports

The ACC announced on Friday game times and tv selections for some early season football matchups. Virginia found out information for three of their games.

The season opener for the Cavaliers against Richmond at Scott Stadium will kick off at 6 P.M. Not surprisingly, given UVa is playing Richmond, the game will not be on cable tv, but will instead by streamed live on ACC Network Extra. Virginia fans should be very familiar with the channel and know it is viewed on WatchESPN. God bless the ACC for giving UVa a 6 PM start and not a noon start on September 1 when it will likely be 98 degrees and 85+% humidity.

Two weeks later, after a trip to Bloomington to play Indiana, the Cavaliers will play host to Ohio. The ACC announced this game will kickoff at 3 P.M. and will also be carried on ACC Network Extra.

The final announcement from the ACC that was relevant to the Hoos was the announcement that their Friday, November 2nd game against Pittsburgh will have a 7:30 kickoff and be carried on ESPN2.
