Eight Virginia Players Receive All-Conference Preseason Honors from Athlon Sports

Yesterday, Athlon Sports released their All-Conference ACC teams for the upcoming football season. Eight UVa players were recognized by the publication, including 4 second-team selections:

Olamide Zaccheaus - All Purpose Back

@Llamaday finished third in the conference last year in receptions for all players

Juan Thornhill - Safety

Thornhill was third in the ACC last season for total passes defended (broken up + intercepted)

Brenton Nelson - Safety

Along with his counterpart at safety, Nelson finished last season tied for third in interceptions (4)

Joe Reed - Kick Returner

Reed led the conference in average KR yards last season, with 29.7 and 2 TDs. Wahoo fans might remember one of those TDs as the opening play to the military bowl.
