The start of the 2018-19 Virginia men’s basketball season cannot come soon enough as Cavalier fans are aching to get the taste of last season’s shocking ending out of their collective mouths. Well, we’re a little bit closer my friends.
Friday (July 6), Virginia released a short, 1:14 video of the guys at practice and it’s got us a little amped up.
Check it out:

Some takeaways:
- Ok, I see you Kihei Clark! The fresh face can be seen burying shots and (of course) learning the vaunted Pack Line defense.
- Jack Salt is clearly continuing his total transformation into Ivan Drago. He somehow looks even bigger than last season.
- Speaking of Jack Salt...is that offense? Salt converts a couple buckets, including a jumper.
- Mamadi Diakite driving with a running layup and dunking. Magic to my...eyes?
- A healthy Dre bring a smile to my face.
The Hoos will open the 2018-19 campaign at home against Towson on November 6, just 123 days from now. It can’t come soon enough.
