Only five more days until the fall seasons get going, as Virginia Cavaliers women’s soccer opens up play against Colgate this Friday at Klöckner Stadium!

Men’s college lacrosse to feature 60 second shot clock, crease dive (NCAA)
The NCAA Men’s Lacrosse Rules Committee proposed several rules on Friday that intend to quicken the pace of play in the sport. Recommendations include putting a visual 60-second shot clock in place for the 2019 regular season, as well as allowing for a version of the crease dive. These changes are expected to be approved by the NCAA Playing Rules Oversight Committee next month.

Despite multiple injuries, UVA's Tim Harris continues to chase his dream (Richmond Times-Dispatch)
Paul Woody of the Richmond Times-Dispatch detailed Tim Harris' inspiring story on Friday. Harris, who enters his sixth year at Virginia, endured season-ending injuries in the last two seasons. The senior cornerback plans to show that he can still play at a high level in 2018.

University Hall set for demolition (News Leader)
Several months ago, the University of Virginia Board of Visitors announced plans to demolish University Hall; asbestos removal has gotten underway this summer. U-Hall, as it came to be known, once served home to Virginia's varsity basketball teams before John Paul Jones Arena opened across the street in 2006. The building was integral to UVA athletics throughout its 41 years in operation.
