2019 recruiting is in full swing for the ‘Hoos, with a handful of prospects making headlines this week. As fall approaches, more offers are extended and more commitments come too for both Bronco Mendenhall and Tony Bennett. But recruits aren’t the only ones making names for themselves this fall. Let’s take a look.

Four-star 2019 recruit Kadin Shedrick, a center from North Carolina, announced that Florida, Indiana, Louisville, Providence, Virginia, Wake Forest, Wisconsin, and Wake Forest are the final eight schools that he is considering for commitment. Virginia just extended the big man an offer last week.

SWFL Top 5 High School football players to watch: Seneca Milledge (NBC-2)
Speaking of recruits, Virginia football has a verbal commitment from one of Southwest Florida’s top prospects, Seneca Milledge. NBC-2 posted a profile on the versatile recruit as he enters his senior season. The Dunbar High School star is No. 3 on their list of top-five high school players to watch this fall.
99 Virginia Football Thoughts Before Kickoff (theSabre.com)
The Sabre continues their preseason series with a deep dive into Eli Hanback, the Richmond native slated to start at nose tackle for the ‘Hoos defensive line this season. He was the season’s leading tackler on the defensive line — and did so as a sophomore.
From the Sabre: “That puts Hanback’s season, at least in terms of tackles, third among defensive linemen over the last decade. Perhaps the most impressive part of the year-to-year comparison for Hanback, however, is that many of the other names on that list were seniors for those seasons (2008, 2009, 2011, 2013, 2015, and 2016). Hanback, on the other hand, produced that big year as as sophomore and has two years remaining with the Wahoos.”
TOTD:
Virginia Football posted a picture of reps from both the Redskins and the Cowboys at fall camp. A photo of the NFC East rivals in a civil setting is not a sight you see everyday... especially not in Charlottesville!
