Your Virginia Cavaliers athletes are constantly making impacts on the field. Let’s see what they did over the weekend:
Taquan Mizzell scored another touchdown for the Chicago Bears on Saturday, catching a 2 yard pass from quarterback Chase Daniel for his second TD of preseason play. Hopefully this score will help Smoke’s chances, as he continues to fight for a roster spot on the team.

Bryce Perkins eyes UVA passing records (CBS 19 News)
As he prepares for his first year as Virginia's starting quarterback, Bryce Perkins keeps a few school records written on his mirror for a little extra motivation. Perkins told reporters on Friday morning that he's aiming to surpass Kurt Benkert's 3,207 passing yards, set last season, and Matt Schaub's 28 passing touchdowns, tossed out in 2002. For someone who has been so heralded for his foot speed, it is clear that the junior college transfer intends to do damage through the air as well.
TOTD:
In their win over Cincinnati yesterday, senior Mia Hoen-Beck made her first appearance of the season for the Hoos. Mia has endured three ACL tears and a staph infection throughout her career; her perseverance is a truly inspiring story. Congrats, Mia!
