UVA men’s basketball offers in-state 4-star forward Henry Coleman (247Sports.com)

For months now, Virginia fans have wondered if and when the coaching staff would offer Coleman, who attends Richmond’s Trinity Episcopal. On Friday, Coach Tony Bennett answered these questions when he extended a scholarship to the rising junior. Now that the table is set, we’ll only have to wait and see if Coleman ends up playing for the orange and blue in just a few short years time.

UVA Alum Collins reaches semifinals in WTA event in San Jose (WTATennis.com)

Former UVA tennis star Danielle Collins reached the semifinals of the Mubadala Silicon Valley Classic before falling to Greece’s Maria Sakkari over the weekend. Collins has surged up the rankings in recent weeks, reaching a career high today of 35.

Coaches poll picks Virginia Women’s Soccer to finish third in the ACC (TheACC.com)

Coaches selected North Carolina, the defending ACC Champs, as the preseason favorites to repeat as conference champions. UVA finished third in the rankings, receiving two first-place votes. Sophomore midfielder Taryn Torres was also selected for the preseason all-ACC team.
