Basketball season is still a few months away, but that won’t stop us from marveling at amazing plays from the Hoos. Damin Altizer, co-founder of DR1VEN Training and Virginia alum, posted this clip of Ty Jerome and Mamadi Diakite to Twitter:
This is, without question, one of the most incredible things I’ve ever seen in a workout. Slow motion because it’s almost unbelievable without it pic.twitter.com/phJQZviPty

Whaaaaaaaat did we just watch? I don’t know if the around-the-defender dime by Jerome or the finish by Diakite was more impressive, but the entire play is something to behold. Both players have put in work during the off-season with Jerome recently excelling at Chris Paul’s CP3 Elite Guard Camp and Diakite working with the same trainers LeBron James and Vic Oladipo.
Coming from someone who has worked with Justin Anderson, saying a play is, “without question, one of the most incredible things...” that he’s ever seen in a workout is saying something. Altizer, the head coach of the St. Anne’s Belfield boys’ varsity basketball team, frequently works with the Hoos to help with their dribbling, control, and shooting.
Little work with Ty and Dre!

After the way last season ended, this season cannot come fast enough. Especially if the Hoos are doing that.
