The Virginia Football 2018-19 season debut is delayed until 6:40pm as Charlottesville is experiencing some lightning. Fans have been told to shelter in place, and as of 6:10, fans were allowed to enter Scott Stadium.
Due to severe weather in the area, fans are advised to shelter in place. The gates to Scott Stadium are closed at this time.

There is no official delay of start time, but according to Brad Franklin of Cavs Corner, the countdown clock has been stopped.

There will be a delay of some sort thanks to the weather, but no time has been set.

Sounds like the pregame festivities will be truncated to just the national anthem after the teams warm up.
