The Virginia Cavaliers travel to the Indiana Hoosiers on Saturday, September 8 for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff. Both teams are coming off a win in Week 1, with the Hoos dominating Richmond last Saturday, 42-13, while Indiana took care of business on the road, 38-28 at Florida International.
Vegas odds are out, and oddsmakers are giving Indiana the nod as the Hoosiers are favored to win by 7 with a combined total score of 54. That would be, roughly, a 30.5-23.5 final score for Indiana.
Indiana went on the road last week to FIU to open the season. The Hoosiers are still working through quarterback options, with Peyton Ramsey getting the bulk of the snaps, completing 20/27 and throwing three touchdowns and an interception. Michael Penix Jr. took over in the third quarter, completing 8/10 passes. He also threw for a touchdown.
The Hoosiers are continuing to look for answers on a young defense who showed flashes of playmaking ability—they racked up three turnovers in the first half alone—but who struggled tremendously stopping the ground game.
Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m. and the game will be broadcasted on the Big Ten Network. Keep it here on Streaking the Lawn to get all your pregame needs!
