With week two of college football rapidly approaching, it’s time to take a look at some of the games you’ll want to catch this Saturday.
Virginia Cavaliers at Indiana Hoosiers:
UVA lost to the Hoosiers 34-17 at Scott Stadium last year. In 2018, they’ll try to flip the script, this time on the road in Bloomington. We’ll see what Bryce Perkins and company are made of in what is the team’s first real test of the season.
TV - Big Ten Network, 7:30 PM
#3 Georgia Bulldogs at #24 South Carolina Gamecocks:
This is an important game in the South Carolina Will Muschamp era. Now having an established coaching staff, a veteran defense, and stars like Deebo Samuel, means that Gamecocks fans expect the team to take it to the next level this season. And yet, that doesn’t make beating last year’s national runner-up any easier.
TV - CBS, 3:30 PM
#2 Clemson Tigers at Texas A&M Aggies:
Jimbo Fisher’s first big game as the head coach of the Aggies comes against an all too familiar team: Clemson. After years of battling against the Tigers in his days in the ACC at Florida State, Fisher will have to rely mostly on the personnel brought in under former head coach Kevin Sumlin. Either way, this should be a fun one.
TV - ESPN, 7:00 PM
#17 USC Trojans at #10 Stanford Cardinal:
USC got the best of Stanford twice last year, beating them early on in the season and then again in the PAC-12 championship game. Heisman candidate Bryce Love and the Cardinal will look for revenge against the Sam Darnold-less Trojans in this rivalry game.
