Panthers sign Blanding, Levrone to reserve/futures contracts (Carolina Panthers)
Just as the case with Kurt Benkert and the Atlanta Falcons, former Virginia Cavaliers Quin Blanding and Andre Levrone earned reserve/futures contracts with the Carolina Panthers on Monday. Both Blanding and Levrone, neither of whom saw action during this year’s NFL regular season, will look to make early impressions in the offseason.
Marshall coach praises Jay Huff (Daily Progress)
Dan D’Antoni, the head coach at Marshall University, endorsed forward Jay Huff following his 14 point, eight rebound performance on Sunday, noting, “He would fit us really well.” For UVA Head Coach Tony Bennett, though, he still wants to see the 7-foot-1 sophomore progress further, “He shows flashes, [...] he’s got to continue to become more consistent.”
