Unsurprisingly, Friday night’s loss to Miami in Hard Rock Stadium did the Virginia Cavaliers no favors in the Week 7 SB Nation FanPulse poll, as the Hoos dropped from No. 21 to No. 25 in the rankings.

Besides UVA, other notable changes include LSU, whose big win over the previously eighth-ranked Florida Gators propelled them to No. 2, and Minnesota moving all the way up from outside the Top 25 to No. 15. Week 7’s list also welcomed Missouri, Baylor, Cincinnati, and Appalachian State to the polls.

Here’s the national perspective as we approach the midway point of the college football season:

Streaking The Lawn followers were aligned with the nation’s view of the Cavaliers, as they pushed UVA back to the last spot in the poll. Last week’s loss to the Hurricanes also hurt their general belief in the team’s direction, with fan confidence falling from 93.1% following the bye week to 69.6% in Week 7.
