The Virginia Cavaliers earned a big bounce back win on Saturday, dominating Coastal rival Duke at home, 48-14 (check out some of the highlights here). After the game, head coach Bronco Mendenhall called his defensive coordinator’s name to break the rock.

5 women’s college soccer goalkeepers with the most impact right now (NCAA.com)
NCAA.com included junior Laurel Ivory in their list of women’s soccer’s most important goalkeepers right now. Ivory, who is coming off of her third ACC Defensive Player of the Week award this season, has not allowed a goal in six straight matches.
Speaking of women’s soccer, they remained unbeaten after a 3-0 win over Notre Dame yesterday afternoon. Goals from Meghan McCool and Diana Ordoñez, who now have a combined 23 scores on the season, as well as Rebecca Jarrett, propelled the Cavaliers to their fourth conference victory.

Things didn’t go as well on the men’s soccer side this weekend, as they fell to Pittsburgh 2-0 at home on Friday night for their first loss of 2019.
