There’s plenty on the line this weekend for Virginia, both in their own game and across the division. Let’s see what’s going to matter for the Hoos as we approach the midway point of the conference schedule.
Virginia Cavaliers at Louisville Cardinals
Scott Satterfield, who replaced Bobby Petrino last December, has made an immediate impact with the Cardinals in his first season as head coach. Now sitting at a 4-3 mark, which includes Week Seven’s upset over previously unbeaten Wake Forest, Louisville has already doubled their win-total from 2018. They’ll look to continue that progress by taking care of UVA at home this Saturday.

Miami Hurricanes at Pittsburgh Panthers
The question heading into this important Coastal game is, what teams are going to show up? After holding UVA to just nine points en route to a win over the Cavaliers two weeks ago, Miami fell to 2-5 Georgia Tech—a team that has losses to the Citadel and Temple by 22 points—in Week Eight at home. And while Pittsburgh has been a little bit more consistent during what’s been a four game win streak, they haven’t been even close to perfect; the Panthers squeaked by Syracuse, who is yet to win an ACC game, last Friday and Delaware, 17-14, in Week Five.

Duke Blue Devils at North Carolina Tar Heels
Both of these teams are coming off brutal losses a week ago, with the Blue Devils losing by 34 on the road in Scott Stadium and the Tar Heels coming up just short against Virginia Tech in a game that went to six overtimes. Who will bounce back in this battle of teams who are both still very much in the hunt for the Coastal crown?
