NCAA.com’s Andy Katz included UVA’s Braxton Key in his list of 11 breakout players for 2019-20. Katz cited the departures of Kyle Guy, Ty Jerome, and De’Andre Hunter as reasons why the senior guard will “have a breakthrough season offensively and be an All-ACC caliber player.”

Sophomore forward Daryl Dike took home the latest offensive ACC player of the week award, announced Monday. Dike was instrumental in Virginia’s two wins over Saint Louis and Virginia Tech this past week, recording three total goals.

Former UVA star and current Kansas City Chiefs starting safety Juan Thornhill has already made his presence felt during his first year in the NFL. Through eight games, Thornhill, who ranks as one of the most effective players at his position across the league, has recorded 23 tackles and made one interception.
