Virginia will hope to see their Coastal lead lengthen.

While Virginia enjoys their second bye week of the 2019 season, Wahoo fans will want to monitor several ACC games that could have Coastal and postseason bowl implications for the Cavaliers. Here’s what’s to look out for:

North Carolina Tar Heels at Pittsburgh Panthers

A loss to the Tar Heels at home tonight means that Pat Narduzzi and the Panthers will not repeat as ACC Coastal champions, and, more importantly, make the potential for seven different division champions in as many years all the more likely.

Wake Forest Demon Deacons at #3 Clemson Tigers

This looked like it could be the ACC’s one marquee matchup of the year - surprising, I know - before the Demon Deacons lost on the road in Blacksburg in Week Eleven. Still, Wake Forest (7-2), behind the arm of breakout junior quarterback Jamie Newman, could present some challenge for Clemson, who has seemed to return to form after a scare from North Carolina on Sep. 28.

Virginia Tech Hokies at Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets

Virginia Tech has (sadly) been playing good football of late, coming up just short against then-No. 16 Notre Dame two weeks ago, before handling Wake at home last Saturday. They’ll look to ride that momentum into Atlanta, where they’ll face an improving Georgia Tech team.
