With just two games left in their regular season, many pundits still have the Virginia Cavaliers, which went unranked in Week 12’s FanPulse Poll, projected as the ACC’s representative at this season’s Orange Bowl.

Ty Jerome is still yet to make his first appearance in the NBA’s regular season with the Phoenix Suns after sustaining a right ankle injury during practice on Oct. 21. Jerome’s new head coach Monty Williams is “cautiously optimistic” that he’ll return relatively soon, however, he said in a presser on Sunday.

For NBC Sports’ Rob Dauster, Mamadi Diakite’s shooting performance on Tuesday was not just significant from a scoring standpoint, but also in the fact that it showed a newfound trust he’s gained from the coaching staff.

Tuesday’s win over Vermont was “a good test,” according to Kihei Clark, who spoke to the media after the game. “I think we showed some grit,” added Tony Bennett.
