For the third time this season, the Virginia Cavaliers are favored by more than two touchdowns, this time against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. Vegas released its lines on Saturday afternoon, and UVA opened as a 16.5-point favorite for next Saturday’s 12:30 p.m. contest.

To date, Virginia is 4-4-1 against the spread. That includes covering the massive 32-point spread over William & Mary, but failing to cover the 27 against Old Dominion. With the over/under set at 43.5 points, that would suggest somewhere around a 30-13 win for the Hoos.

Georgia Tech, a hapless 2-6 on the season, recently beat Miami, the same Miami team that upset Virginia just a few weeks ago. The Yellow Jackets are just 1-6-1 against the spread.

Virginia finishes its season with three straight home games, starting this week against Georgia Tech. They’ll get a bye week before hosting Liberty and then, of course, the Black Friday contest against Virginia Tech, who nearly knocked off Notre Dame this weekend.

Stay tuned to STL for more Georgia Tech coverage throughout the week.
