Christ, a four-star recruit according to Rivals.com, had committed to play for UVA on April 30.
“I am so thankful for everything the coaching staff and university has done for me,” the 6’7, 285 pound high school senior said in his tweet. “It was not an easy decision but I think it is best for me to consider other options.”
Brother of current Wahoo defensive Tackle Tommy, Jimmy Christ’s decision comes as a blow to Bronco Mendenhall’s staff, who has tried to revitalize an inconsistent offensive line with new talent on the recruiting trail.
And then, exactly four hours and 58 minutes after his first tweet, he tweeted that he is “Committed!!!” to the Penn State Nittany Lions.

Pretty quick turnaround time for the Rivals and 247 consensus top-30 tackle. We wish him the best of luck and would like to spend this time reminding everyone not to tweet at recruits.
