We’re onto No. 10 in our Top 30 Virginia Cavaliers sports moments of 2019 countdown!

10. Bryce Perkins’ Two-Point Conversion

Early in this 2019 football season, Virginia needed a huge defensive stand made by the Cavaliers’ defense with 6:02 remaining in the fourth quarter to give Bryce Perkins and the UVA offense another chance to re-take the lead against a storied Florida State team.

Trailing by one, the unit took full advantage, driving 72 yards down the field in just five plays and 2:20 to grab the lead. A Wayne Taulapapa two-yard run provided the points.

Having missed the extra point on the possession prior, Bronco Mendenhall elected to go for two in order to extend the lead back to seven. That could have paid dividends should the Seminoles have responded with a score of their own (something they came dangerously close to doing).

Naturally, the Cavaliers turned to one Bryce Perkins: the guy who’s done just about everything for this Virginia program for the better part of two years. And, well, let’s just say he didn’t disappoint:

We’re back with more later as we reveal No. 9!
