Despite falling in the AP Poll to number four, the Virginia Cavaliers came up with a huge win on the road in Chapel Hill against North Carolina on Monday, beating the Tar Heels 69-61. UVa’s three-headed monster of Ty Jerome, Kyle Guy, and De’Andre Hunter each scored at least 15 points in the victory.
Co-Defensive Coordinator Kelly Poppinga took to Twitter yesterday to post a video of junior linebacker Jordan Mack getting big in the weight room early in the morning. Just 42 more days until the start of spring practice, Wahoo fans!

Jerome, Diakite play through pain to lift Virginia past North Carolina (Daily Progress)
The Daily Progress’ Ron Counts touches on how Ty Jerome and Mamadi Diakite’s determination, having both played at something less than 100%, proved vital in yesterday evening’s win over the Tar Heels.
Following their loss to now No. 2 Loyola, men’s lacrosse dropped five spots from No. 6 to No. 11 in Inside Lacrosse’s latest rankings. The Hoos will look to bounce back on Saturday when they host Lehigh for their home opener.
