Yesterday our very own Virginia Cavaliers basketball alum Mike Scott got swept up in a Clippers-Sixers trade while signing day brought some new recruits to the Cavaliers’ class. It’s a wonderful winter Thursday and Duke round TWO (!) is just two days away now, so we rounded up what else is happening around the corner for you.
Prior to Saturday’s matchup against Duke, Tony Bennett joined the David Glenn show to talk about where this year’s team ranks, pace of play, playing with efficiency on both ends of the floor. Everyone’s favorite silver fox also dishes on how he meet his wife while playing for the Hornets.
Round 1 of Duke vs. Virginia didn’t go terribly well for Clark, and with his former high school rival back in the Blue Devils lineup, the freshman guard looks to make a bigger impact this time around.
The Athletic took a look at how Luke Wentz, a German quarterback who signed with Bronco Mendenhall’s program at Virginia on Wednesday, became the first European born QB to sign with an FBS program.
Bronco is trying new things when it comes to recruiting, focusing his efforts on places far, far from the Commonwealth.
Go get ‘em, Joey Buckets.
Yeah, the people who give out awards really like Virginia basketball this year (we’re looking at you Ty Jerome, Kyle Guy and De’Andre Hunter).
