The Virginia Cavaliers advanced in the 2019 NCAA tournament by virtue of a strong second half in their win over Gardner-Webb. De’Andre Hunter led the Hoos with 23 points, and Mamadi Diakite added 17 as Virginia overcame a 14-point first half deficit to avoid disaster.
Next, Virginia will face the Oklahoma Sooners on Sunday at approximately 7:45pm. The Hoos will start 25 minutes after the conclusion of the 5:15 Duke-UCF game and will be televised on truTV.
