The Virginia Cavaliers advanced to the Sweet Sixteen on Sunday evening following wins over 16-seed Gardner-Webb and 9-seed Oklahoma. Ninth-ranked men’s lacrosse (6-2, 2-0 ACC) also earned a big victory over the weekend, beating No. 16 Johns Hopkins 16-11 on the road.

UVA baseball (13-10, 5-4 ACC) completed a series sweep over the Pittsburgh Panthers on Sunday afternoon, winning 5-2. With the victory, the Cavaliers moved into seventh place in the conference standings.
