As UVA’s journey continues on to Louisville for the South Regional’s Sweet 16, the team will do their best to block out all of the inevitable Final Four noise around them. For junior Ty Jerome, he’s confident in where the Hoos stand: “We’re nowhere near relaxed, nowhere near satisfied [...] We’re not even close to our goal.”

The Wahoos came in sixth on ESPN’s ordering of the remaining NCAA Tournament teams based on program history. Also of note: Virginia Tech finished dead last.
Former Virginia All-American Matt Thaiss was named the Los Angeles Angels’ most outstanding rookie in this year’s Spring Training yesterday. Thaiss, who was drafted 16th overall by the Angels in 2016, has batted .333 during preseason play.
