Virginia football notebook: Bryce Hall working to become a better leader (Daily Progress)
After a breakout junior season, Virginia cornerback Bryce Hall opted to forgo the NFL Draft and return for his senior year. Now, as one of the defensive unit’s seasoned veterans, Head Coach Bronco Mendenhall expects bigs things: “Bryce is going to have to [lead] now,” continuing, “I’ve got to create situations for him, encourage him to do it and then hold him accountable for the same thing.”
The Atlantic Coast Conference named UVA senior attacker Avery Shoemaker their Women’s Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week yesterday. In the team’s two wins over then-No. 7 James Madison and then-No. 13 Duke last week, Shoemaker totaled a team-high ten points.
