Dear Virginia: Love all of you

This bourbon has given me the feels.

Dear Virginia Cavaliers Nation,

On Friday, I wrote an apology letter to Kihei Clark. He deserved it. I was sorry.

Today, I come to you a naked man, full of emotion. We made the Final Four. No, not us, being Justin Anderson or Joe Harris or Mike Scott. The real us, meaning me, Will Campbell, and Caroline Darney, Paul Wiley, and Brian Leung, or everyone else who loves UVa sports.

So many years have gone by since we felt this way. Enjoy it.

After the game my wife told me this was the fourth time she had seen me cry. You know the other times? When we were married, when our daughter was born, and when UVa won the baseball title in 2015.

UVa sports literally move me to tears.

Enjoy this.

I don’t know when UVa will make another Final Four. It does’t matter. This year does and UVa has done it.

Mamadi Diakite made the shot. Kihei Clark made the pass. Kyle Guy went off in the second half. De’Andre Hunter made the layup. Ty Jerome was buckets the entire game.

Enjoy this. I don’t know when it will end.
