Fans are gathering at Davenport Field on Sunday, March 31 at 3:00 p.m. to welcome home the Final Four-bound Virginia Cavaliers team after a hard-fought Elite Eight victory over Purdue on Saturday night in Louisville.
It’s an official “Welcome Home” event put on by the Virginia Athletics department, so you can expect plenty of fanfare and a view of the South Region Championship trophy.
Gates open at 2:00 p.m. and don’t forget, the clear bag policy is in effect. Parking is free at the McCue Center, U-Hall, and Emmet Ivy Garage, but because there’s a men’s lacrosse game against Utah at 1 p.m. in Klöckner, you’ll need to enter Davenport Field through the right field gate entrance to the stadium.
If you’re in or around town, take some time out to give this team some love — the Hoos are going back to the Final Four for the first time since 1984! Need tickets? Here’s how you get them.
