There was plenty of action over the weekend across the Virginia Cavaliers’ sporting realm. Let’s find out what all happened.
The women’s lacrosse team (12-5, 3-4 ACC) rounded out regular season play on Saturday on a high note, defeating rival Virginia Tech 13-10 to give UVA another point in the Commonwealth Clash. Seniors Maggie Jackson and Avery Shoemaker led the way for the Hoos with six and five points, respectively.

UVA men’s tennis (21-4, 10-2 ACC) wrapped up a solid run at the ACC Tournament in Cary, N.C. on Sunday morning, falling to No. 1 Wake Forest, 4-2. Prior to yesterday’s loss, Virginia swept Florida State 4-0 and came from behind to beat No. 9 North Carolina, 4-3. The Hoos will now prepare for the NCAA Tournament, which starts in just two weeks.

On the women’s side of things, the ladies also showed nicely, shooting 6-over 870 to claim fourth place in their competition.
