We’ve learned a little more today about some of the out of conference matchups for the Virginia basketball team next season. According to Jon Rothstein’s tweet this evening, UVa will play the UMass Minutemen as part of the early-season Hall of Fame Tip Off tournament in Connecticut:

UMass finished this season with a 11-21 overall record and 4-14 in the Atlantic 10.
Justin Ferber followed up Rothstein’s tweet with some additional info, including that the Vermont Catamounts will come to Charlottesville as part of the event:

Vermont won the American East Conference this season, losing 76-69 thereafter to Florida State in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
