Virginia safety heading to join the Chiefs.

NCAA Football: Belk Bowl-South Carolina vs Virginia Jeremy Brevard-USA TODAY Sports

It took 63 picks, but Virginia safety Juan Thornhill heard his name called at the NFL Draft after being picked by the Kansas City Chiefs.

Thornhill finished his career in Charlottesville with 208 tackles, 39 tackles for a loss, and 13 interceptions. He earned several accolades over his time with the Hoos, including first team All-ACC his senior season. His six interceptions in 2018 was good for third in the country, and Thornhill helped shut out the South Carolina Gamecocks in the Belk Bowl.

He was excited, to say the least:

Congratulations to Juan, and stay with Streaking the Lawn for more NFL Draft and Virginia Football coverage.
