Five-star small forward / shooting guard Johnny Juzang announced Sunday night on Instagram that he’s down to four schools, and the Virginia Cavaliers are on that list alongside the Kentucky Wildcats, Kansas Jayhawks, and Oregon Ducks.
You may have to follow him as his account goes back and forth between public and private, but here’s the announcement:
Juzang, who just recently announced last week that he is reclassifying to the 2019 class, was ranked the No. 21 player nationally in the 2020 class by 247Sports.
According to most recruiting experts, the top two in the running are Kentucky and Virginia. Juzang had taken an unofficial visit to Charlottesville last fall, but will be taking an official visit to Kentucky on Monday, April 29.
Kentucky, who just traveled to California last week for an in-home visit and to make an offer, has skyrocketed to be considered the heavy favorite among the remaining schools.
The 6’6”, 200 lb. junior out of Harvard Westlake (Studio City, CA) is averaging 22.8 points, 9.5 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.2 steals per game so far during his junior season. He shoots 43% from the field and 35% from beyond the arc.
I mean, just look how good he’d look in a Virginia uniform!
