Every weekday, we deliver UVA links outside of STL that you may have missed from the day before. It’s our look Around The Corner.

It may be getting closer to summer, but there is still exciting news coming out of Charlottesville and beyond for some of UVA’s stars. Let’s find out what’s been happening.

Ja’Quay Hubbard, Ben Smiley, and Jowon Briggs - three of Virginia football’s biggest commits in the class of 2019 - look like they are ready for summer ball. We can’t way to see these guys in action in a very short time!

After making the transition from the MLB to Korea in 2018 to join the LG Twins of the KBO League, Virginia alum Tyler Wilson has been on a solid run. Through seven appearances this season, Wilson has posted a 0.57 ERA, good for tops in the league.

Former UVA tight end Billy Baber, a native of Charlottesville, was elected to the Virginia High School League’s 2019 Hall of Fame class on Monday. Congrats, Billy!
