Virginia basketball wasn’t the only UVa team winning in dramatic fashion last night.
After splitting the first two games of the series with Notre Dame with a 2-5 loss on Friday and a 12-7 victory earlier in the day, the Hoos were staring down a series clinching victory.
Clinging to a 6-3 lead entering the 9th inning, UVa was able to get two quick outs after walking the leadoff batter. Chaos ensued.
Two singles and a throwing error later the score was 6-5 and ND runners on first and second.

Rough way for a hard fought game to end, but certainly the final score UVa needed.
Hoos move to 8-7 in the ACC and just a half game behind UNC and GT in the Coastal standings.
