Hot off their first ACC Tournament title in nine years, and on the eve of the NCAA Tournament, the Virginia Cavaliers men’s lacrosse team racked up more honors as head coach Lars Tiffany was tabbed ACC Coach of the Year.
Lars Tiffany has been named the ACC Coach of the Year‼️ He is the first UVA head coach to earn the honor since Dom Starsia in 2009. The accolade marks the 10th time a UVA head coach has been named the league's coach of the year. #GoHoos

The Hoos finished the regular season 13-3, including a 5-1 mark against ACC opponents—three wins in regular conference play and two more in the conference tournament. UVA is ranked #3 in the final poll before the NCAA Tournament begins.
Tiffany won Ivy League coach of the year in 2015 and 2016 at Brown before coming to Charlottesville. By joining Jim Adams and Dom Starsia with ACC honors, Virginia has now had three consecutive coaches win conference coach of the year.
Virginia plays host Robert Morris at Klockner Stadium at 7:30 Saturday night in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
