2019 College football coach rankings: Power Five coaches ranked 65-26 (CBS Sports)

Football’s Bronco Mendenhall finished as the top head coach (in a list from 65 to 26) in CBS Sports’ new ranking of the top college football coaches in the country. Mendenhall, who “saw the program take a nice step forward” in 2018, jumped up fourteen spots from last year.

In an article posted yesterday, NBA Draft analyst Mike Schmitz detailed many of the lottery prospects, including Virginia’s own De’Andre Hunter. On the 6-7 swingman, Schmitz called Hunter “arguably the best defender in college basketball” and considered his versatility and toughness great skills to have at the next level.

UVA women’s golf dominated the NCAA Auburn Regional yesterday, posting the best score of any team through two rounds with a 5-under 283 led by sophomore Beth Lillie’s 4-under 68. With the top six teams advancing to the NCAA Championships, the team, now positioned in second place, seems to be in good shape for qualification as they wrap up play today.
