Virginia Basketball Releases the 2019-2020 Out of Conference Schedule

After waiting literally months since the Virginia Cavaliers took the court and won a title, we now know who the Hoos will be playing in their out of conference period for the upcoming season.

As previously announced, the Cavaliers will open the season on the road at the Syracuse Orange. After returning home, they will play host to JMU, Columbia, and the Vermont Catamounts.

During the Thanksgiving week, UVa will play Massachusetts in the Air Force Reserve Tip-Off Tournament and then play either the Arizona State Sun Devils or the St. John’s Storm in Connecticut.

The Hoos will then host Maine back at JPJ before heading to the Purdue Boilermakers for an Elite 8 re-match in the Big Ten - ACC Challenge with the exam break to follow.

After the exam break, UVa will wrap up their out of conference schedule by hosting Stony Brook, the South Carolina Gamecocks, and Navy MidShipmen before heading into ACC play.

In all, the Hoos will face three teams that played in last year’s NCAA Tournament: Vermont, Purdue, and either Arizona St. or St. John’s.
