For the third time in a row, the Virginia Cavaliers football team did not make the cut for SB Nation’s FanPulse Top 25 (shame on you, non-UVA believers). The Hoos continue to ascend the ranks within our own community, however, as they moved up to No. 21, thanks in part to the team’s blowout win in Week Two.
Defensive tackle Aaron Faumui made it onto Pro Football Focus’ ACC Team of the Week following his performance last Friday that included a tackle for loss and an assisted sack.

Joe Reed also earned some distinction yesterday, as the ACC named the senior their specialist player of the week. Reed made the most of his only kick return against William & Mary, taking the ball back 100 yards to the opposing team’s endzone for the score.
Congrats to the Week 2 Players of the Week!
