In football news, the team released their updated depth chart, as per usual, on Monday, while fans across the country voted Virginia as the nation’s No. 23 program in the latest SB Nation FanPulse Poll. Tony Bennett also made a vintage Tony Bennett move yesterday, when instead of accepting a raise - something head coaches ordinarily do - he declined it, asking for the funds to go towards the rest of his coaching staff and the program as a substitute. Along with his wife, Bennett also co-pledged $500,000 to a career-development program that plans to assist UVA men’s basketball players of past and present.
Ron Counts of the Daily Progress provides a few thoughts on two of Virginia football’s biggest stars.
Senior wideout Joe Reed was named to a watch list for the Paul Hornung Award, which recognizes a versatile, high-level college football player at the end of the season, on Monday. Reed hauled in eight receptions for 83 yards and a score in Saturday’s win.
Be sure to cast your vote for him here!
There you have it! Week 3 was taken over by Joe Reed (UVA) Jaylond Adams (Southern Miss) and Dayan Ghanwoloku (BYU)

Virginia’s lead man Bryce Perkins also earned some distinction yesterday, as the ACC named him co-quarterback of the week, along with Clemson’s Trevor Lawrence. UVA needed all of Perkins’ combined 348 passing and rushing yards against Florida State over the weekend.
Congrats to the Week 3 Players of the Week!
