Either the voters took away a whole lot of positives in Virginia’s loss at Notre Dame, or they simply didn’t like most of their options in the lower echelon of the rankings — perhaps it was a combination of the two — as the Cavaliers jumped up from 24th to No. 19 in SB Nation’s FanPulse Top 25.
The big change for the ACC was Clemson’s relinquishment of the No. 1 position to — guess who — Alabama, after surviving North Carolina on the road, 21-20. Besides those two powerhouses flip-flopping, there wasn’t a ton of notable change near the top of the leaderboard.
Further down, Boise State continued their climb up the list, now sitting at 15th as the highest-ranked Group of Five team. Arizona State also made the cut in Week 5, coming in at No. 25, while Wake Forest, who went from unranked to No. 22 in the AP Poll, remained on the outside looking in.

For the first time, Virginia fans moved their team down in the community rankings, dropping the Hoos to No. 17 in Week Five’s poll. Still, according to the data, Streaking The Lawn voters remain fully confident in the team’s direction, following their first loss of the season last Saturday.
