Three UVA soccer players heard their names called in the National Women’s Soccer League Draft yesterday. Courtney Petersen and Phoebe McClernon were both taken by the Orlando Pride with the No. 7 and No. 14 overall picks, respectively, while Zoe Morse went to the Chicago Red Stars at No. 19.
Virginia women’s basketball (7-10, 2-4 ACC) fell on the road to Wake Forest on Thursday night, 62-56. Senior guard Jocelyn Willoughby led the way for the Cavaliers with 20 points.
